Big 1st Innings Leads to 9-1 Win over Ranger

The Clarendon College baseball team scored seven runs in the first inning and cruised to a 9-1 win over Ranger College in game one of the weekend series.

The Bulldogs sent eleven hitters to the plate in the first inning highlighted by a bases loaded triple by Juan Lopez. Anthony Quirion led the offense with a 2 for 4 performance at the plate while Lopez and Kingsley Ballao each contributed 3 RBI's.

Julien Cyr got the start in game one and collected the win. Cyr pitched in to the 5th inning and allowed only one run on one hit. Kevin Miranda came on in relief and pitched the final 2.1 innings allowing no runs on two hits.
