Bulldogs Rebound From Slow Start at Lamar to Win Series Finale

After dropping the first three games of the series, the Clarendon College Bulldogs responded with a 6-2 victory over Lamar Community College.

The game was tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth when Erik Rodriguez (Carolina, PR) was called on to pinch hit with the bases loaded. Rodriguez delivered a double that cleared the bases and put Clarendon up 4-1. Two batters later, Jorge Ortiz (Ponce, PR) came off the bench for an RBI single that scored Rodriguez. A fielder's choice by Fernie Ugarte (El Paso, TX) brought in the 6th and final run.

Picking up the win was Ricky Padilla (Cabo Rojo, PR). Padilla kept the Lamar hitters off-balanced for five innings totaling ten strikeouts and allowing only three hits. Jean Alvarado (Ponce, PR) closed out the game with two Innings and four strikeouts.
