Bulldog Baseball Sweep McCook in Home Opener

Clarendon College has installed a new state of the art Baseball scoreboard at Bulldog field. We look forward to seeing you at games this upcoming Fall and Spring. Coach Snook will be releasing his 2022-23 Bulldog Baseball schedule soon!

Bulldogs lose final 3 games of series to Midland

The Bulldogs were unable to win the final 3 games of the weekend against Midland, losing the series. The Bulldogs lost the 3 games by scores of 7-6, 9-8, and 23-17, respectively.

In game 2, Gerardo Questel took the loss on the mound, throwing 6 innings and giving up all 7 runs on 10 hits and 6 strikeouts. Jose Solis was 3-5 at the plate, and Tommy Reyes-Cruz finished 2-2 with a homerun.

In game 3, Jose Diana took the loss in relief, throwing 1.1 innings and giving up 2 runs. Ricardo Velez threw 5 innings in his start, giving up 7 runs with 7 strikeouts. Mark Castelblanco lead the Bulldogs at the plate, going 3-3 with 2 homeruns and 5 RBI.

In game 4, the Bulldogs were able to put up 17 runs but it wasn't enough as they fell 23-17. The Bulldogs used 5 pitchers in the contest, giving up all 23 earned runs on 18 hits and 15 walks. Offensively, the Bulldogs were lead by Mark Castelblanco and Cristian Laboy. Castelblanco finished the game 3-3 with 4 runs scored, a homerun and 2 RBI. Laboy finished 4-6 with 3 homeruns and 6 RBI. Nico Martinez and Anthony Quirion also homered in the contest.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Tuesday against Seward before starting the weekend series on Friday against New Mexico Junior College.


Clarendon College Baseball Tryouts/Showcase

The Clarendon College Baseball team will be holding tryouts November 12, 2016 at 12pm on Bulldog Field. Pre-Registration will cost $30, walk up's will be charged $35.

The tryout will be a Pro-Style workout. Position players will run 60's, throw from their positions, and take bp. Catchers will get their pop time's recorded. Pitchers will throw bullpens.

We will take a campus tour following the tryout. The entire coaching staff will be in attendance to assist with any questions you may have with Clarendon College and the baseball Program.

Hosea Nelson named conference MVP

Clarendon College's Hosea Nelson was named Most Valuable Player in baseball for the 2016 Western Junior College Athletic Conference.

Hosea also earned first-team honors as an outfielder along with sophomore infielder Francis Desilets.

Four Bulldogs received honorable mention: Isaiah Peters, Luis Cintron, Edward Ibarra, Dakota Pacheco
