Seventh Inning Rally Wins Game

Clarendon College Bulldogs seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Odessa College. The game was tied at three with Clarendon batting in the bottom of the seventh. Devyn Yanello was entered into the game for Jasmin Marticorena at the plate. Yanello led off the inning with a base hit up the middle, Hernandez moved her over to second with a bunt, Sierra Wooley was walked, Destinee Alvarez singled to left field, and Savannah Flinn singled up the middle, scoring the winning run. The Bulldogs totaled 11 hits overall. Sandoval, Alvarez, Flinn, and Wooley each racked up multiple hits for Clarendon.

Dezire Garcia started the game for the Bulldogs as she went three and a third innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one, but was relieved by Hope Arnold, who earned the victory. Arnold went two and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out three and walking zero, but was also relieved in the top of the seventh by Morgan Stevenson. Stevenson came into the game with no outs and runners on second base. Stevenson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Bulldogs.
